With a large percent of the population overweight we have to wonder why the all the weight loss diets available on the Internet to not make obesity disappear altogether. If you do a quick search you will see that there are hundreds maybe thousands different diets one can choose from. I will not tell you why obesity is still around: because most of these diets are foolish and dangerous. Some of them will actually recommend starving yourself for days. While this may sound like a good idea at first you have to think about the ramifications. Starving can cause stomach damage and in the long term results are null as your metabolism will slow down in order to save energy. As soon as you start eating normally again you will a lot more than you lost.
The best way to lose weight is to combine a healthy diet with regular exercise. A healthy diet will allow your body to take the time to burn the excess calories stored as fat, and the exercise will create more muscle which will burn even more fat tissue.
Any diet with weight loss in sight should take into account two substances. These substances are water and proteins. Water suppresses hunger and accelerates your metabolism. Water also helps you detox your body as sometimes toxins can cause weight gain. Protein will make you feel fuller and will help you build muscle which is essential for losing weight. Both reduce you cravings and will pave your way to a slimmer self.
