The Secret Benefits of Fitness

If you have one good reason for staying obese and overweight, I can give you 5 others telling you why you shouldn't be. The first and most practical reason for fitness is that people who overeat spend a lot more, not only on their food, but also on expenses that come in as a bonus for being fat, such as; medical expenses and other accommodations which charge double for obese people.
Besides all that, a recent trend to discourage sugar and cholesterol resulted in the imposition of fat taxes on sweets and fatty foods. And all predictions indicate that these goodies will get to be more and more expensive as time goes on.
Second, you would improve a great deal on your public relations if you were to slim down. It is not right, but then again, the feeling that obese persons are a bit out of the ordinary is there in most people. People tend to avoid your company if you are obese. I don't know whether it is the feeling that you might eat them up too or what, but people are wary of obese persons (sorry for the joke). They don't open up as well and are likely to withhold information or make a secret of a lot of things that they would unhesitatingly tell slimmer persons. Being fat could be depriving you of more fruitful consultations with your doctor or your accountant or your creditor. Fitness might even help you land a good job.
Third, don't you just feel silly whenever you have to go in to a restaurant and then go out again because they only have the standard chairs in which you won't fit. Being obese can pose many problems about getting yourself comfortably situated in any place. Besides, having to have a double portion of everything deprives one other person of his share.
Fourth, fitness will make you learn to like yourself more because you will feel that you are appreciated by others. Fitness could be just the push that you have always needed to improve your self-image and start getting somewhere in life. Most people would stop to think before getting into a relationship with a fat person. And it is not just the prospect of becoming the object of humor when you go out that being obese poses a problem for, but other, more private activities.
The fifth point in favor of fitness is the difficulty of movement which fat people have to endure. This does not merely involve having to move slowly from place to place, but also the psychological disinclination to be seen in a lot of places. Being overweight discourages people from wanting to circulate and be seen in a lot of places.
There are many sites on the internet where they offer advice for overweight people. It won't be easy to really get your fitness back. You need to focus on that objective no matter the discomfort that you are bound to go through in the process of becoming fit.
